Ninja Monkey Designs and Discussion
So, I think the hardest part for me of working on this original piece is really finding and sticking to a style I enjoy. I think it's best to find a style with which I'm comfortable if I intend on making drawing after drawing. While I do have common themes in features and postures, I don't consider myself to have any formalized 'style'. Thus, I'm trying to find something that both pleases me visually and fits what I envisioned for Ninja Monkey. What's more, I've decided to go back to the title's initial concept and make it fully Shounen rather than this big, epic story we were planning on. Keep it simple, right? I like Shounen. I like Ninjas. I like action. I should enjoy it more overall.
I hope that's how it works.
Anyway, I thought I'd share some recent works with those of you watching this. ( monkiCollapse )( orangeCollapse )( group shotCollapse )( an Monki-kakiCollapse )
Any feedback is helpful. Let me know what you like, what you don't like. I think discussing this will really help me make my final decisions about the cast. And I plan on making the characters a little less anthro. That's always sat strangely with me. I'm not really an anthro artist ^^; But again, I need to find that look that I want. Aaah! So many things to think about! Current Mood: thoughtful
